Joy Lynn Henderson, LMHC, M.S., M.Ed.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor - LMHC #MH25538

My main goal as a therapist is for the client to feel accepted, respected and safe. Through compassion and empathy, we will begin to establish a therapeutic relationship and with this foundation, we can begin to navigate the healing process. My therapeutic areas of expertise include processing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, addiction, phobias, major life transitions and family of origin issues amongst others.

I work from a whole-person, holistic perspective to assist clients with learning how to regulate difficult emotions and reduce stress and anxiety symptoms through somatic, psychological and spiritual healing techniques.

In addition, I have over 20 years of experience working in health and wellness. I am a yoga teacher as well as a national certified sports medicine trainer and fitness instructor. I teach classes weekly and also work with aging persons and those living with chronic illness.  It is always and honor to facilitate the process of healing and I look forward to guiding you on your journey.
